ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) – A big feature on the island of Brac has been published in a special online edition of the British magazine Lonely Planet which brings until now unpublished material on destinations around the world, Croatia’s National Tourist Board (HTZ) said earlier this week.
The 12-page feature headlined “Heart of Stone” was written by Marcel Theroux, renowned British author.
Besides general information on Brac, the feature presents its attractions and traditions such as stonemasonry, the Blaca desert, the Dragon Cave, Vidova Gora Hill, and the Zlatni Rat beach.
HTZ director Kristjan Stanicic said such features in foreign media and on travel platforms were welcomed for the positive affirmation of Croatia. He said Lonely Planet’s website had over 17 million monthly visits.
The head of the HTZ’s UK office, Darija Reic, said the Brac feature could inspire many Britons to plan a trip to the island and Croatia.
